Our Trainer

Pete Eromenok started his dog training career as a hunting enthusiast in eastern Idaho. He has hunted most bird species and understands what is required of a dog to be successful in the field, Pete started his first hunting dog in 1979. He began training his first Master Hunter in 1986. Since then, he has trained hundreds upon hundreds of dogs for clients across the country and Canada, ranging from the family pet owner to those looking for a finished or titled hunting dog. He has achieved many titles for his own dogs, and for clients as well. He has always had a passion to understand the dog's mind and the subtleties of canine behavior.

Pete currently runs his own dogs in AKC Field Trials and Hunt Tests, and has earned multiple QAAs and has qualified his dogs for the Master National. Pete has judged all 3 levels of the AKC hunt test program.

The wide variety of training programs which he has used and developed has given him a well rounded background in dealing with a wide range of issues: He has trained detection dogs and dabbled in Schutzhund training. Pete developed a specialty training for dealing with aggressive dogs.

Pete has written many newspaper articles on dog training, geared toward the pet owner, for a Pennsylvania newspaper, and two articles for The Retriever Journal.

The various disciplines that Pete has worked, gives him a depth of understanding to deal with many issues and problems.

Gun dog Training is our Specialty!

We have great waterfowl hunting on our Idaho training grounds. Our gun dog program is tailored to the owners needs; from hunting to Hunt Tests to QAA titling.

All of our programs are custom designed around your dog’s temperament and personality.

    After Training

Once the training is complete, we run the leadership transfer program with you and your family, so that you can carry on the training at home. This enables Pete to help dogs overcome a range of problems, and helps him teach their owners how to keep the problems from arising again.

Private Lessons and refresher sessions are also available by appointment.

    Obedience and Behavior Modification

Pete employs his German Shepherd, Teigen to aid in stabilizing unbalanced, aggressive dogs. He teaches and trains people so that they can more thoroughly enjoy their trained dog. Teaching the owner is by far the most important part of the program. It is paramount that dog owners understand how to maintain the work that was put into their dog.We can also troubleshoot issues which crop up in dogs that are already trained. Obedience programs start with basic commands: “sit,” “stay,” “heel,” “down,” “place” and “come.”

Dog Boarding is available by reservation.
